In this prelude episode, I introduce myself as your host and provide insight to the catalyst for creating the I Think I Love My Wife (ThinkLoveWife) podcast.
In my journey to seeking relationship advice, I realized how important it is to seek counsel from people that are currently married. It also made me realize the void there is when it comes to getting the perspectives of married men of color, especially married Black men.
My goal is to have honest, real, and authentic conversations with married men about relationships (the challenges they’ve faced and how they’ve overcome them), their journey to proposing, the pressures we put on ourselves as men, and those that come from societal norms and generational expectations. In this episode, I also explain the meaning behind the podcast’s name, my intentions for this podcast, and the expected structure of it.
